Inaugural Meet Highlights - A New World Record!

Marie-Louise Michelsohn (New York, NY) set a new World Record in the 5000 meters. Her time of 20:27.08 bettered the existing women's 65-69 age-group record by 15 seconds!

The cool weather did not deter several other sizzling performances:

Paul Sinatra (M 45-49) cleared 4.80 meters (15' 9") in the pole vault, missing his age-group world record by .30 meters.

Adarian Barr (M 40-44), triple jumper, moved to # 6 in the world rankings for ages 40-44 with his 12.99 meter (42' 7.5") bound.

Antonette Carter (W 18-29) long jumped 5.99 meters (19' 7.75") and ran the 100M in 11.81 seconds. She recently placed # 21 in the 100M, # 17 in the 200M, and # 12 in the Long Jump at the 2007 USA Outdoor Nationals.
